Hotel Gjerrild Kro

The Hvid family has run this inn for the past 40 years. They do everything they can to make sure their guests have a wonderful stay. This inn used to be part of the Scheel countship, which owned land from Gjerrild right down to Viborg when it was at its most powerful. Although a lot has changed since then, you can still enjoy your days off in this beautiful village, close to Sostrup Castle, which is now a convent. The inn serves really delicious food. It has a cosy terrace where you can eat dinner in the summer while your children play in the small playground. It is also next to a small lake with paths around it. If you want, you can bring your own horse with you as there is a field for horses next to the inn. Djursland has wonderful beaches, beautiful forests and many sights to see. Bikes are available to hire. It is approximately 16 km from the Kattegatcentret Oceanarium in Grenaa and 23 km to the Djurs Sommerland amusement park. One child under 4 stays free in their parents' bed (you need to state this when booking). Breakfast for children under 4 years old costs DKK 40, which you pay when you get there. You can contact the accommodation direct to book a free bed for a child under 3, subject to availability. Note! The Legoland Park is closed on the following days in 2014: 7-11 April, 3-4 September, 10-11 September, 17-18 September, 24-25 September, 1-2 October and 7-8 October. Legoland opens for the season on 5 April and closes on 2 November 2014.
