Trips to Normandy

One of Normandy's most iconic features is the famous beaches that served as the scene of D-Day during World War II. On 6 June 1944, the Allies carried out a massive invasion of the Normandy coast, marking the beginning of the end of Nazi Germany's rule in Europe. Today, these beaches, including Omaha Beach and Utah Beach, are places of reflection and tribute to those who fought and sacrificed for freedom.

Normandy is also home to the impressive Mont Saint-Michel, a medieval monastic island that rises from the sea like an architectural masterpiece. Known for its narrow streets and breathtaking views, the island attracts visitors from all over the world and symbolises France's rich cultural heritage.

Normandy is also a culinary paradise, offering delicacies such as Camembert and Livarot cheeses, freshly caught seafood and apple brandy. The region's rural areas are covered in orchards that produce the famous calvados, an apple brandy known for its complex flavour and character.
