Rebookable flight tickets must be signed and paid for at the time of booking and cannot be added afterwards.

This service is Sembo's own product, which can mean that the ticket cannot be rebooked by the airline. Rebooking must thus be done by our air travel department.

In cases where rebooking is necessary, our air travel department should be contacted via email. Rebooking must be done during this department's business hours, which are non-holiday weekdays 8:00 AM - 3:00 PM, and at least 48 hours before the originally scheduled departure. We will only process these cases during non-holiday weekdays. When rebooking, the trip must be completed within one year of the original booking.

The service only permits rebooking depending on available space. If the change entails an upgrade to more expensive tickets, the traveler must pay this cost. The rebooking can only be done with the same airline as the original reservation.

Sembo offers rebooking regardless of the rules of the airline.

Free rebooking of dates within the same price level and itinerary with the selected airline.

When the price level is higher, the difference between the original price and the new one is added.

The product does not allow name changes or name corrections.

The flight route is used in the order they were originally booked; no change of destination is permitted.

Sembo does not many any changes to the original booking without the customer's written consent, with the exception of changes by the airlines.

Normally, STG collects the following information:

Information that you provide us with when you book a trip or become a member of one of our customer clubs, e.g. online via our website or by contacting our customer service, including contact details (first name, middle name, last name, address, telephone number, e-mail address and employment/job title), personal identification number (for visa applications, etc.), passport number, bank details, credit card information, preferences you communicate to us concerning the trip (e.g. information about special meals or special assistance needed due to a possible disability or illness, etc.), height, weight and clothing and shoe size (required when ordering equipment for ski and sports trips, etc.), the purpose of the trip, information about which languages you speak, citizenship, bonus card number, information you provide about your marketing or communication requests, as well as information you provide when you contact us regarding a problem or when you otherwise approach us in the capacity of a customer.

STG may also obtain credit information from credit reporting agencies to assess your financial soundness and creditworthiness.

Information you provide us with in connection with a delivery or cooperation agreement, including contact details (work, job title, first name, middle name, last name, address, telephone number and e-mail address), information you provide regarding preferences about marketing, communication and information which you provide when you contact us regarding a problem or when you contact us as part of our cooperation.

5. What do we use your personal data for?

STG processes your personal data in order to fulfil the objectives stated below. Note that not all stated objectives, types of information, recipients of information, or types of information processing apply to you in all situations.

STG only uses your personal data insofar as it is necessary for the customer relationship, supplier relationship, or cooperative relationship (taking into account any special interests in each case) or according to applicable law.

STG processes your personal data in connection with the establishment and ongoing management of your customer relationship with us as part of our normal business, including trip bookings and supplying our other products (e.g. visa applications, travel insurance, transfer services, etc.), maintenance of customer records, credit ratings, billing, debt collection, marketing, statistics, etc.

5.2 Administration of supplier and cooperative relationships

If you are a supplier, partner, or point of contact for a supplier and/or partner that STG works with, we will use your personal data when we are in contact with the supplier and/or the partner. We also process your personal data in our CRM registry, which contains information about our points of contact at suppliers and partners.

5.3 Compliance with applicable laws and statutes

STG will process your personal data in accordance with any laws and regulations that STG is subject to in connection with the management of its business or in order to fulfil various reporting obligations under applicable laws and regulations.

When you call our customer service, your conversation may be recorded. Recordings are saved for 6 months. We do this in order to know what oral agreements we have made. We may also use the conversation for internal training purposes. We thereby collect and store all personal data that feature in the conversation. You will be informed before the conversation begins and you have the right to request that the conversation not be recorded. You also have the right to request that a recording be deleted.

5.5 Data collected when you subscribe to our newsletter

If you choose to subscribe to any of STG’s newsletters, we collect your name and your e-mail address in order to be able to send the newsletter. You can choose to stop receiving newsletters via our website or directly in the newsletter at any time.

5.6 Data related to use of our digital services

When you use any of our websites, app, or any of our other digital services, we may collect data about your use of the service. Part of this data may be personal data, such as e.g. your IP address. We also collect data about how you navigate within the service, what searches you make, and which travel products you are interested in. If you are logged in to your account or provide data which make it possible for us to identify you, we combine data about your usage habits with any other data we have collected about you.

STG strives to ensure that all personal data we process is accurate and up to date. We therefore ask you to always notify us of any changes to your personal data such as address or payment information so that we can ensure that your personal data is always accurate and up to date. If you have created a travel profile with us, we ask you to log in to your profile and update it with any changes.

6. Legal basis for processing of personal data

STG always processes the information about you in one or more of the following ways: (1) your consent,* (2) the conclusion or execution of your contract with STG, (3) in relation to STG’s legitimate interests, that is, the purposes described above, (4) the execution of the legal obligations to which STG is subject, (5) protecting your or another natural person’s main interests, (6) processing that is necessary for a legal claim to be established, enforced or defended, or (7) processing that is necessary to comply with STG’s or your employment, health or social obligations under national or EU legislation. There may also be situations in which we use your personal data for the legitimate interests of a third party in relation to the above purposes, unless outweighed by your interests.

*Personal data consent and your rights
Personal data that are used in order to send newsletters, customisation, or for marketing are processed on the basis of your consent. When you have given your consent to receive newsletters, we may, in order to make offers more relevant to you, use information about your previous bookings and your activity on the website (e.g. what you have viewed). At any time, you may choose to revoke your consent by contacting us using the contact details above. If you revoke your consent, we will delete any personal data and cease the processing covered by the consent. You also have the right to request that the data about you be deleted, supplemented, or corrected, as well as the right to data portability.

It may be the case that the same personal data is processed both on the basis of consent and necessity or on the basis of other regulations. This means that even if you revoke your consent and the processing that is based on that consent ceases, the personal data may still remain with us for other purposes.

STG only transmits data that are necessary in the normal course of business, including data that are necessary for your trip and other products you purchased at the same time.

STG usually sends personal data to the following recipients when ordering travel and related products:

GDS is an IT network system owned or operated by a company that enables transactions between suppliers in the travel industry, primarily airlines, hotels, car rental companies, and travel agencies. GDS combines services, prices and bookings by bringing together products across the three travel sectors, i.e. flight reservations, hotel reservations and car rentals.

STG transmits personal data to airlines when booking your trip. In order to book your flight, we usually have to provide the following information to the given airline: first name, middle name, last name, departure airport, destination, date of departure and return trip, bonus card number, and special requests for your trip, including booking special meals and any need for special assistance on the plane or at the airport.

For trips to certain destinations, we may also need to provide your passport number to the airline.

STG sends personal data to any hotels that you may stay at during your trip. In order to book your hotel stays, we usually have to provide the following information to the given hotel: first name, middle name, last name, destination, date of departure and return trip, bonus card number, and special requests for your trip, including booking special meals during your hotel stay and any need for special assistance during your hotel stay in connection with a handicap or illness.

STG normally does not process car rentals in our own booking systems, unless you book your rental car yourself directly in the car rental company’s booking portal/website, which we refer to.

In those cases in which STG needs to send personal data to car rental companies, normally we have to provide your first name, middle name, last name, pick-up site, rental period, car type, bonus card number, and any specific requests for the vehicle rental such as specific measures in the case of handicap or illness, the use of child seats, etc.

STG sends personal data to bus companies if you travel by bus as part of your trip (e.g. on a day trip to famous tourist attractions, etc.). In order to book your bus trip, we usually have to provide your first name, middle name, last name, pick-up location, the date and time of the bus trip, destination, and special requests for the bus trip, including booking special meals during the bus trip and any need for special assistance during the bus trip in connection with a handicap or illness.

STG send personal data to passenger lines if you are going to travel by ferry as a part of your trip. In order to book your ferry trip, we usually have to provide your first name, middle name, last name, your vehicle registration number, destination, route, date and time of departure and return trip, and special requests for the ferry trip, including booking special meals and any need for special assistance during the ferry trip in connection with a handicap or illness.

A bed bank is an IT network system owned or operated by a company that enables transactions between suppliers in the travel industry, mainly hotels and travel agencies. STG sends personal to bed banks that book any hotels that you will use on your trip. In order to book your hotel stays via a bed bank, we usually have to provide your first name, middle name, last name, destination, date of arrival and departure, bonus card number, and special requests for your trip such as booking special meals during your hotel stay and any need for special assistance during your hotel stay in connection with a handicap or illness.

If, as part of your trip, you participate in excursions or need a transfer, STG may disclose your personal data to the relevant supplier or partner. The supplier or partner is responsible for organising the excursion or the transfer when you order the desired services with local suppliers at your destination. In order to be able to book your excursions, transfers, etc. we normally have to provide your first name, middle name, last name, date and time of arrival and/or departure, type of vehicle, and special requests related to the excursion or transfer such as booking special meals or any need for special assistance in connection with a handicap or illness.

As a part of your travel booking with us, you have the opportunity to purchase admission tickets to events and amusement parks such as Legoland and Disneyland Paris.

STG sends personal data to suppliers/partners that book any tickets that you will use on your trip. In order to book your tickets, we usually have to provide first name, last name, age, date and time, and special requests for the tickets, such as booking special meals and any need for special assistance purchasing tickets in connection with a handicap or illness.

As a part of your travel booking with us, you have the opportunity to purchase various forms of insurance, such as luggage or travel insurance. If you want to buy such insurance, we will submit your personal data to the insurance company so that they can register the insurance. In order to purchase insurance, we normally have to provide a first name, middle name, last name, e-mail address, destination, date of departure and return trip, and mode of travel to the insurance company.

As a part of your travel booking with us, you have the opportunity to rent equipment that you need on your trip, e.g. skiing equipment, diving equipment, or similar. If you want to rent such equipment, we will submit your personal data to the company at your destination from which you will rent the equipment. In order to book your equipment, we normally have to provide a first name, middle name, last name, type of equipment, pick-up location, rental period, and information about height, weight, clothing and shoe size to the rental company.

STG may also transmit and/or send your personal data to other suppliers and/or service suppliers in connection with the general conduct of our business, e.g. in connection with external administration of our IT system, analytics, marketing, debt collection, credit assessment, auditing, legal assistance, etc.

STG strives to limit to the greatest possible extent the transmission of personal data that can be associated with you personally.

STG does not transmit your personal data if it is not required to provide its services or meet your needs.

8. International transfer of your personal data

Due to STG’s business, your personal data may be transferred to countries outside the EU/EEA when you book a trip with us. In order to be able to supply our services to you, in certain cases we have to use partners and suppliers outside the EU/EEA.

If it is not possible for us to disclose your personal data to a recipient outside the EU/EEA, STG will be unable to supply the desired trip to you. This applies when you book a trip for which we have to send your personal data to recipients outside the EU/EEA in order for the trip to be able to be made, e.g. to book flights, hotels, etc.

A package tour and a linked arrangement offer travellers different booking processes but provide the same protection under the Package Travel Act, ensuring customer rights and peace of mind during the trip.

Sembo ensures that you have access to low prices and competitive holiday options.

If you book your trip with us and then find the same trip available at a lower price within 24 hours after your booking has been confirmed, we will refund the price difference to you.

First, make sure that the trip or hotel booking you wish to apply the price guarantee to is offered on an online website in the same country as the Sembo site you booked through and by a licensed travel organiser in that country.

Every product in your Sembo booking must match the one you found at a lower price, such as number of travellers, outbound and return dates, flight times, flight numbers, flight extras, transfers, hotel, room type with the same rules and cancellation terms, number of rooms, and meals.

We need all information about the other offer, including a link to the relevant company where the lower price is clearly shown, and the price you ask us to match must be in the same currency.

The price you want to match must not be part of a loyalty or reward programme.

Sembo defines these offers as those where the customer receives a reduced price from the accommodation or another website as a reward for repeat purchases; for logging in; entering a promo code; referring other customers; or taking any other action that changes the original price.
The price must be available to the general public, and Sembo must be able to book the same price without being a member or part of a loyalty programme.

To use the Price Guarantee, the main traveller on the booking must contact our customer service within 24 hours after receiving the booking confirmation, as Sembo has already paid the original price for parts of your booking at this stage. We can therefore only guarantee the price for 24 hours because some service providers, such as airlines and hotels, often change their prices.

Please note that the Price Guarantee can only be applied once per booking and does not apply to flight-only bookings.


The prices on Sembo are based on information provided by our suppliers to the data systems used to search for trips. We aim to always maintain up-to-date information on the website, but as these details are constantly updated, it may in some cases occur that a trip cannot be booked at the advertised price.

Key rights under Directive (EU) 2015/2302

Travellers will receive all essential information about the package before concluding the package travel contract.

There is always at least one trader who is liable for the proper performance of all the travel services included in the contract.

Travellers are given an emergency telephone number or details of a contact point where they can get in touch with the organiser or the travel agent.

Travellers may transfer the package to another person, on reasonable notice and possibly subject to additional costs.

The price of the package may only be increased if specific costs rise (for instance, fuel prices) and if expressly provided for in the contract, and in any event not later than 20 days before the start of the package. If the price increase exceeds 8 % of the price of the package, the traveller may terminate the contract. If the organiser reserves the right to a price increase, the traveller has a right to a price reduction if there is a decrease in the relevant costs.

Travellers may terminate the contract without paying any termination fee and get a full refund of any payments if any of the essential elements of the package, other than the price, are changed significantly. If before the start of the package the trader responsible for the package cancels the package, travellers are entitled to a refund and compensation where appropriate.

Travellers may terminate the contract without paying any termination fee before the start of the package in the event of exceptional circumstances, for instance if there are serious security problems at the destination which are likely to affect the package.

Additionally, travellers may at any time before the start of the package terminate the contract in return for an appropriate and justifiable termination fee.

If, after the start of the package, significant elements of the package cannot be provided as agreed, suitable alternative arrangements will have to be offered to the traveller at no extra cost. Travellers may terminate the contract without paying any termination fee, where services are not performed in accordance with the contract and this substantially affects the performance of the package and the organiser fails to remedy the problem.

Travellers are also entitled to a price reduction and/or compensation for damages where the travel services are not performed or are improperly performed.

The organiser has to provide assistance if the traveller is in difficulty.

If the organiser or retailer becomes insolvent, payments will be refunded. If the organiser or, where applicable, the retailer becomes insolvent after the start of the package and if transport is included, repatriation of the travellers is secured. Sembo is registered with the Danish Travel Guarantee Fund (

) under registration number 3798 under the name Stena Line Travel Group AB. The Travel Guarantee Fund ensures the refund of travellers’ payments and, where applicable, repatriation in accordance with the Danish Act on a Travel Guarantee Fund.

Sembo is part of Stena Line Travel Group AB and is headquartered in Helsingborg. Sembo is responsible for accommodation services, while Stena Line Scandinavia AB and Direct Ferries manage ferry services. Sembo also acts as an intermediary for other transportation services such as airline tickets, rental cars, trains, and transfers. Payments for both transportation and accommodation are made directly to Sembo (Stena Line Travel Group AB).

Sembo primarily serves private travelers. Please read these travel conditions carefully before booking your trip, as booking travel services through our website constitutes your acceptance of Sembo's travel conditions.

Unless otherwise agreed upon, you as a customer select products and services, or combinations thereof, from the offerings available on our website.

You are responsible for providing accurate contact information to enable us to reach you with important information. We will notify you about any changes via email. Sembo cannot be held responsible if incorrect contact details provided by you result in missed important communications. You, as the individual making the booking, are responsible for payment. It is your responsibility to ensure you can receive communications from Sembo. Sembo will not be responsible for undelivered messages due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, such as providing an incorrect email address, email settings preventing receipt, or emails being categorized as spam.

1.2. Responsibility and Obligations for the Fulfillment of the Trip

By booking travel through our website, you agree that Sembo acts solely as an intermediary between you and the service providers. Sembo shall under no circumstances be held responsible for travel services booked through other suppliers.

Additionally, Sembo is not responsible for any inaccuracies in information displayed on our website provided by the respective service providers.

When Sembo intermediates services for a supplier, the supplier is responsible for delivering the service, and the supplier's travel and transportation conditions apply. As an intermediary, Sembo is not liable for timetable changes, canceled flights/ferries, lost luggage, bankruptcies, or other matters related to the execution of the travel services.

Any claims related to the non-delivery of travel services must therefore be directed to the relevant supplier.

Sembo disclaims responsibility for technical problems and pricing errors beyond our control. Sembo reserves the right to contact customers via email within 48 hours during regular business hours (weekdays excluding public holidays) in the event of technical issues or pricing errors concerning, for example, airline tickets, baggage, and seating.

If an obvious error occurs during your booking, Sembo will offer you the choice of either paying the correct price and retaining your booking or canceling your booking without penalty.

Sembo is not obligated to provide travel services at an incorrect (lower) price, even if you have received a booking confirmation, if the error should reasonably have been obvious to you.

Bookings can be paid using the following payment methods:

Credit/debit card payments: Dankort, Visa, MasterCard, and Eurocard – Sembo reserves the right to refuse card payments if card fraud is suspected. In such cases, identification may be required.

Must be paid immediately upon booking, and the payment is binding.

"Economy" tickets must be paid immediately upon booking.

A deposit of 10% of the total amount or at least EUR 50, plus cancellation insurance, must be paid within 2 hours after booking. For departures within 25 days, the full amount is payable upon booking.

A deposit of 10% of the total amount or at least EUR 50, plus cancellation insurance, must be paid within 2 hours after booking. For departures within 45 days, the full amount must be paid at the time of booking.

For bookings at special rates, also indicated as "Non-refundable," the booking must be paid immediately and cannot be refunded in case of changes or cancellations.

If final payment is not received by the due date, Sembo has the right to consider the booking canceled. Refer to our cancellation policy, including applicable charges, within these conditions.

When you have booked your trip, a booking confirmation will be sent to your email. At this point, the intermediary agreement between you as a customer and Sembo comes into effect. If you do not receive a booking confirmation within one hour after completing your booking, and none of our customer service representatives have contacted you via email or phone regarding any issues, please contact us by phone for confirmation.

Once your electronic tickets have been issued, you will receive a confirmation email containing your ticket number. At that moment, a binding contract between you and the relevant airline carriers comes into effect.

Flight prices and seat availability information are provided directly by the airline. If the airline makes changes beyond our control (e.g., changes in price, seat availability, or other conditions) after the booking confirmation has been sent but before the agreement with the airline has become binding (as described above), the agreement will not come into effect. In such cases, Sembo will refund the payment to the same method used for the booking.

We may contact you during our regular office hours to give you the option to accept the new price, but no later than 48 hours after we have become aware of the change.

You are responsible for ensuring that the confirmation matches your booking. When booking flight tickets, it is your responsibility to ensure all names match exactly with passport information.

For flight bookings where the outbound and return journeys consist of two separate one-way tickets, these are treated as two independent tickets. It will be clearly stated during the booking process and on your booking page if your trip consists of two separate, unrelated one-way tickets. In the event of a schedule change, delay, or cancelled flight on one leg of the journey, we do not allow changes or cancellations to the other leg, as the airline considers them to be entirely separate bookings.

Flight tickets must be used in the order they were issued. If you do not use the outbound leg of a return ticket, the airline will automatically cancel your return journey and no refund will be available.

If you as a traveller have a duplicate booking, the airline may cancel your trips. This applies even if the bookings were made through different travel agencies or directly with the airline. We are not responsible for any cancellations made by the airline in such cases and do not cover any additional costs that may arise.

We do not offer tickets to minors traveling without an accompanying adult. Passengers under the age of 18 must be booked and accompanied by an adult. Certain countries and airlines deny entry to minors who are not accompanied by a legal guardian. Please note that some airlines require minors to present a birth certificate during travel.

For flight tickets booked with low-cost airlines (e.g., Ryanair, EasyJet), the airline will send the booking confirmation directly to your email, including the booking reference required for online check-in. If you do not receive confirmation from the airline within 72 hours, please contact us immediately. Online check-in should usually be done through the airline's website to avoid extra airport fees. If you have booked flights only, please contact the airline directly for assistance. For additional conditions regarding Ryanair, please refer to section 3.19.

The right of withdrawal does not apply to transportation services or related accommodation services under distance selling laws. Sembo does not offer any 24-hour rule. After payment, flight tickets are non-refundable.

Please note that some airlines charge a fee for airport check-in. Refer to individual airline websites for details.

Local airport taxes/fees must be paid at the airport in local currency and may change on short notice. These fees are determined by each country’s aviation authority. We have no control over these fees and do not refund them.

Service is an optional add-on that can be purchased when booking your flight ticket. You can also upgrade to a higher service level at any time before departure, and in some cases even during your trip. There are three levels: Limited, Basic, and Premium. If you choose the Limited service, our customer support is not included, and assistance requested later will incur a service fee.
