Discover Slovenia

Slovenia is only about twice the size of Skåne, but on this surface there is great variation! From the Alps in the north to the sea in the southeast, it is not many hours, but you still manage to pass both fantastic natural views and famous places like Lipica, where the Lipizzaner horses come from.

This trip starts in Slovenia's capital Ljubljana, a city just the right size to be explored in just over a day on foot. You then continue on to the beautiful Lake Bled, where an excursion on the lake and perhaps a trip to the nearby village of Radovljica or the beautiful Vintgar Gorge.

Then continue up in the Alps to Kranjska Gora, which is known for its alpine skiing. During the months of the year when there is no snow, the resort is a good choice for those who want to hike in beautiful nature.

Then end the trip in cozy Izola by the Adriatic Sea. If you are not in the mood for swimming, you can go on an excursion to the Postojna caves or to Lipica and watch a horse show - something you can also combine with a visit to Italian Trieste. Despite its size, Slovenia is simply a fantastic holiday country!
