Two islands, plenty of time to simply be
This is the trip for those who want pure sun and beach relaxation, but with a change of scenery and atmosphere. You begin on Mahé, with its dramatic mountains, winding coastal roads and sweeping views. Then you continue to Praslin, where the pace is even slower and the days revolve around some of the Indian Ocean’s most renowned beaches. The trip ends with one final night on Mahé for a smooth journey home.
A thoughtfully designed combination that lets you experience two different sides of the Seychelles – without turning the trip into an island-hopping tour.
Mahé – drama, space and a gentle start
Mahé is the main island, and you land right in the heart of its lush greenery. Roads wind between mountains and sea, palm trees lean towards the shore, and the air is warm yet gentle.
Beaches such as Beau Vallon, Baie Lazare and Anse Intendance offer wide stretches of sand and clear water. There is plenty of room to explore, drive around the island and stop wherever looks most inviting. A morning might begin with a walk in the mountains overlooking the entire coastline and end with dinner by the sea as the sun sets behind the granite cliffs.
Three nights here give you time to settle in after your flight and ease into the Seychellois pace of life.
Praslin – picture-perfect beaches and slow days
As soon as you step off the ferry on Praslin, you notice the difference. The pace slows. The roads are shorter and the atmosphere more laid-back.
Beaches such as Anse Lazio and Anse Georgette await, with pale sand, rounded granite boulders and water in vivid shades of turquoise. The days need no plan. Breakfast in the shade, a swim as the temperature rises, a book that actually gets read and dinner in the evening breeze.
If you feel like being active, visit Vallée de Mai, the nature reserve where the unique coco de mer palm grows. Otherwise, the beach is the main attraction.
Five nights on Praslin give you enough time to truly let go of everyday life and savour the feeling.
One final night on Mahé for a relaxed ending
The trip ends with one night back on Mahé. This means you do not have to travel on the same day your flight departs. Instead, you can take the ferry at a leisurely pace, check in and enjoy one final evening by the sea before your journey home.
Practical information
Best time to travel:
The Seychelles is a year-round destination, but each season has its own character. April–May and October–November are generally the most pleasant months, with calmer winds and clearer water. December–March is warmer and more humid, with brief tropical showers. All-day rain is rare, but the air feels heavier. June–September is drier and slightly cooler, but it can also be windier, which sometimes affects the sea and sailing conditions.
Getting around:
Transfers are available between the airport and your accommodation on Mahé, and you can easily add one before completing your booking.
You travel independently between Mahé and Praslin. Ferries depart from the port in Victoria in northeastern Mahé, and the crossing takes approximately one hour.
Before your journey home, take the ferry from Baie Sainte Anne on Praslin back to Victoria on Mahé the day before departure. You will then spend one final night on Mahé, avoiding any time pressure on the day of your flight home.
The ferry and transfers to and from the ports are not included in the price.
A package tour and a linked arrangement offer travellers different booking processes but provide the same protection under the Package Travel Act, ensuring customer rights and peace of mind during the trip.
